This product is an editable Microsoft Word document that contains five rubrics that I use to create my Article of the Week (AOW) assignments and what I call my Essay of the Week assignments (EOW). (EOWs are more creative narrative essay assignments.)

• Use these rubrics to create weekly essay assignments to build writing stamina.
• These rubrics focus on building two specific skills: evidence interpretation and idea development. In this document, you will find two rubrics for AOWs and three for EOWs.
