  • 2021: Junior Ashley C.’s essay placed first at the local chapter level (Matilda Polk Chapter, Bolivar, Mo.) in the DAR’s Christopher Columbus Essay Contest.
  • 2020: Junior Ella D.’s essay placed first at the local chapter level (Matilda Polk Chapter, Bolivar, Mo.) and also placed first in the state of Missouri in the Daughters of the American Revolution Christopher Columbus Essay Contest.
  • 2020: Several juniors and seniors won prizes in the Ozarks Writers League Annual Youth Writing Contest. Awards were given as follows: Addysen G., 1st place poetry; Savannah B., 2nd place poetry; Ella D., 3rd place poetry; Destiny H., 2nd place short story; Angelina C., 3rd place short story.
